Hamilton Bohannon - Me & the gang (1979)

Today, another funk legend dies, Hamilton Bohannon, known as Bohannon. He played a leading role in disco music and massively participated in the success of Motown Records thanks to his side performances and live arrangements. His incredible work has been inspiring for many as this track inspired Paul Johnson "Get Get down" house music hit. He has been sampled many times by hip-hop superstars like Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg or Digable Planets.

Aggressive bass lines and rhythms define him and makes him a rhythm master as he liked to call himself. His most famous track is “Let’s Start The Dance” (1978).
