This song, presented on this album and originally composed for Wilson Simonal, is the most complete example of Ben's love for the simple things in life and the apotheosis of this happy simplicity . It is the cry of the happiness of the Brazilian that accounts for the incredible chance he has to live in a sublime tropical country, celebrating the supreme enjoyment simply alive: "Num País Tropical, Abençoado por Deus E bonito por natureza Em fevereiro Tem carnaval Eu tenho um fusca e um violão Sou Flamengo, tenho uma nêga Chamada Tereza..("I live in a tropical country, blessed by God ... But what a beauty! In February, there is carnival! I have a car and a guitar, I am Flamengo, I have a girlfriend named Teresa! ")

While the Brazilian identity remains recent and fragile, Jorge catches all facets without even realizing it, with a complexity and finesse that will be growing over time.

With this eponymous album of 1969, with the sublime psychedelic cover, Jorge Ben then imposed himself once and for all in the court of the great Brazilian composers and performers.

Jorge Ben is one of the great contemporary masters of Brazilian music, managing to combine with a disconcerting ease of the national tradition (samba, choro ...) and some elements imported from Anglo-Saxon cousins (pop, rock, jazz ...), for a breathtaking result.
