Gyedy Blay Ambolley is a perfomer, a saxophonist and a singer from Ghana.

He is the first musician from Ghana to formally incorporate rap forms into local highlife rhythms, Ambolley created the musical genre Simigwa.


He was performing at the New Morning, Downtown Paris on the 15th of November 2019, to celebrate the reedition of his album Ambolley (1982) with his Sekondi band, released by Mr. Bongo Records.
