Another sad day for African Music. Tony allen died in Paris yesterday at the aged of 79 years old.

His work is a masterpiece: from Nigeria where he worked with Fela Kuti and played major role in creating Afrobeat to his recent projects with Jeff Mills, he was an incredible drum player and a great man whom i had the opportunity to meet at this show in La Villette back in 2011. He was playing with Questlove (Drums of The Roots).
